barred owl maybe or . . . ?

  1. barred owl (close, but not quite it)
Spotted Eagel Owl, African Eagle Owl (Bubo africanus) (i've heard one like this before almost)
Pel's fishing owl (Scotopelia peli) (Wail Call)
Great grey owl, Lapland, Lapp Owl (Strix nebulosa)
    Rufous Owl (Ninox rufa)

this one that i heard this morning, they called three times. they sounded almost like a wolf, it was fairly low to mid toned, and it was right outside my window in the tree or on the ground. it was not loud. but it didn't sound like any usual bird that we hear. i think it sounds most like the barred owl, but had a longer call, and not so bird-like. no coo-ing was involved. it was just one semi-long call. the sound i head before a couple years ago was more like the wild call of a barred owl or more exactly like that of the spotted/african Eagle owl, very very low and growling, a weird-like sound, almost like a dinosaur & very loud. they seem to like my trees. we have alot of squrriels and possums in our area and also alot of trees, much like a garden. if i could set up some speakers and get the sounds to sound tommorow morning, unless that's too late. i might could get it to call back? i'm not sure. it would be great if i could get a picture, but i do not have night vision.
