A Treehouse

Christmas gifts this year, i got direction for christmas this year. i think it's a good thing. All year long i've been having problems deciding things. deciding a direction, or a plan of action, or this thing or that. i decided i would write on an old memory of a treehouse. Long years ago, i had someone to build a treehouse. it wasn't in a tree, but it was made from trees i guess, lol, treated wood. i had of course two grandfathers, like most people. i thought it would be good if they could both work on building a treehouse. One of them of course was a builder and the other one kind of tinkered with things, lol. really i don't know what they did really other than read a bunch, like history and biographies, socialogy, current events and books on politics, etc.  But, so i had them build this tree house together. i thought it would be a good thing. They didn't get along at first. it almost didn't get built, lol, but with my help and words they agreed to not say anything to each other and just work. Lol, it worked. They built a tree house, in my back yard. it was a really good treehouse. it lasted for years and years. it's prob still there, lol, who knows really. i think in my mind it still is. it's owned by someone else now. but i think that was a good memory. it was a good example of teamwork for a greater cause, lol. Who wouldn't want a tree house? lol, so that's my treehouse story. i could tell you alittle about how it was designed and built. it was very rectangular. it had four strong beams that were set on metal pins which were set into the ground with concrete and sand, so that it would drain properly and not cause the main beams to suffer from water damage. it had one ladder, one main platform, a fireman's pole, and it had frame-working for a roof that you could climb up onto, and the sides were framed without walls so that it was open to the elements, underneath was just the grass under the treehouse with the shading from the main platform and was open with out walls as well.  it was about..7 or 8 feet high to the main platform. it might have been ten feet. i don't recall exactly. i was shorter then. lol. it was about two and a half people tall in all from the ground to the roof. it wasn't painted. i think it was sanded down and it prob had a rain repellant on it when it was first built. Mainly i remember it was just really well built. i really, really liked my fireman's pole! i think i remember i had requested that specifically when asked.
I'm so glad i had a tree house. the trees around us were all tall pine trees with no way to really build an actual tree house in them, not like most trees and tree houses. Oak trees, of course, are lower to the ground with large branches used to holding an actual tree house. i think that's about it for my treehouse story. Maybe i'll write some more stories here later, while i can. i'm not sure how long i'll keep my internet service going, i have some things i'm tackling this year. The word is "direct".  ~ until later ~
